Are you obligated to move my goods for the estimate you quote?
It depends on the estimate. We are only legally obligated to follow the estimate if it’s a binding agreement.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. We are licensed and completely insured. You can always request us to provide proof of insurance to you.
How much time do I have to file a claim if there is some loss or damage to my goods?
You have nine months from the date of delivery to file a claim.
When is the best time to move?
From experience, the best time to move would be before the summer months. Most people move stuff between May-September. If you do not want to get caught up in that hectic period, then you should schedule a date earlier than that.
For the same reason, it would be a great idea to schedule for a weekday because most people move stuff on weekends, so it is a lot difficult to lay your hands on the good movers.
Can I get an Estimate?
Yes. An estimator will come to do a physical inspection that gets you a written estimate. You will be charged based on how long the move takes. The price listed on the estimate serves as a limit, except something else that they did not include in the estimate comes up.
Do I need to Present During the Move?
Yes. There will be paperwork to sign. You will also need to show the movers what you want. You will also be expected to do a walk through after the truck has been packed. A walkthrough allows you to point out whatever has been missed by the movers.
Your presence at the destination is also important because the movers will need directions on where and such. You must know where each item is going so that you can save time and money.
What do I do with my pets?
Secure them in their carriers before the movers arrive. Securing them will prevent any accidents or injuries to the movers or pets. We do not transport pets, too, so you would have to arrange for alternative transportation for them.
How Do I handle The Children?
It depends on how old they are. Older children who do not need constant supervision can be present on the day of the move. However, if your children need supervision, you might want to get someone to watch them or schedule the move for a day when they are in daycare or school.
Do I need to provide refreshments for the movers?
No, you are not obliged to. However, you could offer the movers something to make the job easier for them if you choose to.
